Holloway Park is a mixed-use regeneration scheme by Peabody and London Square on the 10-acre former Holloway Prison site at 1 Parkhurst Road (N7), following the Ministry of Justice's closure of the prison in 2016. Islington Council granted planning permission in 2022 for 985 homes — 60% affordable — alongside a Women's Building, a public park, shops, and community facilities, with completion expected in 2027. The lead architect is Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, with Haworth Tompkins and Maccreanor Lavington also involved.
The affordable provision includes 42% social rent homes and 60 extra-care social-rent homes with dedicated communal facilities and garden. A 1.4-acre public park will be created on site. Shops and workspaces are planned along Parkhurst Road and Camden Road. Caledonian Road station (Piccadilly line) is a 10-minute walk from the site.
