Silvertown is a large-scale mixed-use regeneration scheme in the Royal Docks (E16) by Lendlease, transforming a 60-acre site that had been derelict for approximately 40 years. The scheme will deliver approximately 6,500 homes alongside 1.2 million sq ft of workspace in the Royal Docks Enterprise Zone.
Two heritage buildings are being restored as centrepieces of the development: Millennium Mills, a former flour mill dating from 1906, and Silo D, a Grade II listed 1920s reinforced concrete grain silo. Custom House Elizabeth line station is approximately 15 minutes from central London, and the ExCeL exhibition centre sits directly opposite the site. All non-residential buildings are targeting BREEAM certification, with residential homes targeting 3-Star Home Quality Mark.
