The Glebe

The Glebe is a boutique residential development at 36a Glebe Place, Chelsea, SW3, by Orion Land & Leisure, occupying the site of a former Edwardian school building whose brick facades have been retained. The scheme was ten years in delivery and totals 118,360 sq ft, comprising nine residences — seven lateral apartments and two new-build villas — with architecture by Formation Architects working alongside Collett-Zarzycki and Gumuchdjian Architects.

Individual apartments range from 5,000 to 15,000 sq ft, with the adjacent townhouse reaching 21,000 sq ft. The development includes six individual swimming pools, an acre of landscaped grounds by Tom Stuart-Smith, car lift access to subterranean parking, and a concierge service. Each residence is delivered with a bespoke interior design scheme by one of seven individual designers.
